Gratitude

Here we are – the week between Veterans Day and Thanksgiving.

As I put ‘pen to paper’ (OK, that just sounds better than ‘fingers on keyboard’) to write this article, one word that in my heart – – – GRATITUDE.

Veterans

I am grateful for all of the men and women who have served in our armed services to protect and defend our great nation. Having spent many decades working side by side with some of our Country’s Best, I have a deep appreciation for challenges that they endure in their service.

For all of my neighbors here in the Gardens who have served, I thank you for your service.  You have supported out wonderful Country.

Thanksgiving

Next week, we will all gather with family and friends for Thanksgiving Day.  This is the time of the year to express our gratitude for all of the blessings in our lives.  This is a good time for all of us to take time think about all of the blessings we have in our lives.

“Gratitude is when memories are stored in the heart and not in the mind.”  Lionel Hampton

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more.  It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.”  Melody Beattie
