February 10-26, 2020
The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo has grown to one of the largest, most prestigious single events in the city of San Antonio.
Through scholarships, grants, endowments, junior livestock auctions, calf scramble program and show premiums the event impacts over 19,000 youth in Texas annually.
In addition to the PRCA Rodeo and performers you may have heard about, here are some additional “Fundraising Events” I on their website.
Western Heritage Parade & Cattle Drive (2/5/22)
This free event takes us a step back in time to celebrate our historic Texas roots and kick-off the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. The parade route runs through downtown San Antonio and features participants who represent our heritage and the Old West.
Stampede 5K Run/Walk (2/5/22)
The 5k run/walk takes place prior to the Western Heritage Parade & Cattle Drive in downtown San Antonio. The Stampede takes place on the main streets of Historic Downtown San Antonio!
Vaquero Cook-Off (2/5/22)
Head to downtown San Antonio and Market Square to enjoy some of the traditional staples of the vaqueros from the 1800s. Cook-off entries include Cooks Choice, Chili and Menudo.
Charreada (Located In The Freeman Coliseum 2/27/22)
Deeply rooted in Western and Mexican culture, see Mexico’s Official Sport, popularized by the charros of Jalisco and the nation of Mexico. The event showcases the beautiful pageantry of rodeo skills and dressage, escaramuzas, competitive roping and ranch skills, horsemanship skills as well as the exquisite costumes.
Ranch Rodeo - This Event Will Be Held In The AT&T Center On 2/23/22
Catch this throwback to the Old West when neighboring ranches would get together to see which cowboys were the best riders, ropers and toughest hands. Six teams with five contestants each are invited to participate in the prestigious Ranch Rodeo Finals, featuring the “best of the best” ranch rodeo showcase.
