A few days ago when someone mentioned they had almost been hit in the alley with someone driving too fast, I was reminded of the “elderly crossing” sign I had seen posted in England (the bottom one). When I went looking for a copy of it on the internet, I found that many newer, more appropriate, version have been proposed. I don’t know about you, but I like the top one best.
Now let’s get serious. I know that I have been guilty on occasion of going a bit too fast down Enfield Park heading home. So, this is a reminder for me, as well as you, to slow it down a bit.
This is especially important in our wonderful alley system that is the primary access for many of our home garages.
Let’s all continue to look out for one another..
“Certain prima facie limits are established by State law including the 30 mph speed limit on streets and the 15 mph speed limit on alleys in urban areas. These speed limits do not need to be posted to be enforced.”
